DSC_0648The Cape’s new energetic Regional Field Director (RFD) Christina Pacheco has set up a strategy/training session for folks interested in organizing and volunteering for the Ed Markey campaign. She will have others around the Cape, but this one is in Centerville before the regularly scheduled Barnstable Democratic Town Committee Meeting. 5PM, Wednesday, March 13 at the Centerville Recreation Center, 524 Main Street, Centerville. (near 4 Seas Ice Cream!) An RSVP would be nice, but is not necessary.
(We’re wondering about the quantity of snacks of course!)

Please join your fellow Democrats marching in the annual Cape Cod St. Patrick’s Day Parade Saturday March 9th, 2013. As always, the Yarmouth Democratic Town Committee has reserved a slot for all Democrats in this years parade. Our position is B21 and will be assembling on School St (off Rt 28) Dennisport, 9:45 am. Bring your banners, candidate signs, friends & families, and join Congressman Keating, Senator Dan Wolf, State Rep Cleon Turner, County Commissioners Mary Pat Flynn & Sheila Lyons and other Democratic officials. All candidates have been invited.

We expect the R’s will be out in force. Help us have a strong showing by marching in support of our elected Democrats and candidates.

COME AND MEET ED MARKEY!!

Cape Democrats will welcome Rep. Ed Markey this Saturday February 23, at the Barnstable Senior Center , 825 Falmouth Road (ROUTE 28), Hyannis at 11:30am

EVERYONE IS WELCOME to come hear his message of action to protect the environment, women’s rights, jobs in Massachusetts and to curtail the power of the big oil companies.

Markey is running for the U.S. Senate seat just vacated by Sen. John Kerry when he became the Secretary of State.  The primary is April 30.  The Special Election is June 25.

Markey’s long record of environmental activism is of special importance to Cape residents.   Learn more on Saturday.
