2/4/2013 UPDATE State Convention Date Changed - Barnstable Caucus date remains: 2/13/2013
*ADVISORY* Barnstable Democrats will hold Caucus to select 2013 Convention Delegates on February 13th at 6:30PM at the Centerville Rec Building, 524 Main Street in Centerville. All Democrats registered in Barnstable are welcome to attend.
The 2013 convention delegates will hear from exciting future party leaders and vote to ratify new platform.

This year the convention will also feature a Youth Convention for high school students in Massachusetts.
Barnstable, MA – Democrats in Barnstable will hold a caucus to elect delegates to the Massachusetts Democratic Party’s 2013 Platform Convention on February 13th at 6:30PM at the Centerville Rec Building on Main Street in Centerville. All registered Democrats in Barnstable are eligible to participate. The caucus is open press.
“At our 2013 convention, the delegates selected by Barnstable Democrats will debate and adopt our platform for the next four years, catch up and network with other organizers around the Commonwealth and hear from some exciting future leaders of our party,” said Massachusetts Democratic Party Chair John Walsh.

BACKGROUND: Delegates to the 2013 Massachusetts Democratic Party Platform Convention will debate and adopt a new party platform. The convention will be held on Saturday, June 1 in Lowell.
Starting this year, the Massachusetts Democratic Party will also hold a Youth convention for high school organizers.
The Barnstable Democratic Caucus will elect 22 delegates and four alternates to the 2013 Massachusetts Democratic Convention. Delegates will be divided equally between men and women. Those not elected as Delegate and/or Alternate, who meet the qualifications, may apply to be add-on delegates in the following categories: youth, minority, and disabled.
