Convention delegates nominate candidates for 2012 U.S. Democratic primary
Democrats in Barnstable will hold a caucus to elect delegates to the Massachusetts Democratic Party’s 2012 nominating convention on February 11th 2012 at the West Barnstable Community Building, 2377 Meeting House Way (Rt. 149), West Barnstable. All Democrats in the Town of Barnstable are eligible to participate. You must be a registered Democrat as of 12/31/11. Doors to the West Barnstable Community Building will open at 9:00AM and will close/lock promptly at 10:00AM. No one is able to enter after 10:00AM.
The caucus is open to the press.
Delegates to the 2012 Massachusetts Democratic Party nominating convention will select candidates to compete for the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate. The convention will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield.
The Barnstable Democratic Caucus will elect 22 delegates and 4 alternates to the 2012 Massachusetts Democratic Convention. Delegates will be divided equally between men and women. Those not elected as a Delegate and/or Alternate, who meet the qualifications, may apply to be add-on delegates in the following categories: youth, minority, and disabled.
